St. Andrews University in North Carolina will close their doors on May 5. The small private institute in Laurinburg cited financial difficulties in deciding to cease operation. Athletes from 17 sports will be looking for new homes. The Knights compete at the NAIA level and are members of the Appalachian Athletic Conference. The softball program is 3-39 on the 2025 season.
