The Southeastern Conference has decided to seek a neutral site for their conference tournament championship starting in 2027. The move was voted upon by Athletic Directors of each member institute at the recent SEC Spring Meetings. The tournament is currently rotated between each member campus. From 1997-2003 the tournament was held at neutral sites that included Columbus, GA, Chattanooga, TN, and Plant City, FL. The 2026 championship will happen in Lexington on campus at the University of Kentucky.
