Japan secured their second consecutive Olympic Gold Medal shutting out the United States 2-0 on their home turf in Tokyo. USA settles for Silver, while Canada defeats Mexico to take home the Bronze.

Robinson Promoted At Stetson

After a search of two months and possibly longer considering the rumored retirement of former head coach Frank Griffin during the 2021 season, Stetson has now promoted assistant coach Shellie Robinson to head coach. The Deland Native has been on staff for the Hatters the last two seasons. Robinson came to SU after serving on coaching staffs at Furman and North Greenville University.

By virtue of both being 4-0, the United States and Japan have secured each of their spots in tomorrow’s Gold Medal Game regardless of the outcome of their matchup today to finish round-robin play. Mexico and Australia also play today with the winner advancing to the Bronze Medal Game to face Canada.

PFW Brings Bowman Back As Head Coach

Purdue Fort Wayne has named Amber Bowman their new head coach. Bowman had previously served on staff as an assistant coach from 2016–2019. She spent the past two seasons as head coach at DII Davenport where she compiled a 30-33 record.

Jordan To Be Named New Avila Coach

Sources have confirmed to RTS that Heidi Jordan will be named the new head coach at Avila University. Jordan joins the Eagles after 18 seasons at Highland Community College in Kansas. She compiled a record of 576-234 at HCC in that time.
