Auburn University at Montgomery has named Scottie Wilkes interim head coach. Wilkes has been with the Warhawks for an extended tour of duty having started as a graduate assistant in 2013 before being elevated full time in 2014. Last season, Wilkes helped AUM to a 49-13 record, including a 25-5 mark in conference play. The Warhawks won their second consecutive GSC Regular-Season and Tournament championship on the way to a Division II World Series appearance.
FSU Extends Alameda
Florida State has extended the contract of head coach Lonni Alameda, Director of Athletics Michael Alford announced Monday. Alameda completed her 14th season leading the Seminoles in 2022. During that time she has compiled a 667-189-3 record and won a National Championship in 2018.
Alameda’s name had been at the top of the list for the open position at Texas A&M. Sources confirmed to RTS that she turned down an offer from the Aggies last week.
Wills Departs Bowling Green For Bradley
Sources have confirmed to RTS that Sarah Willis will be named the new head coach at Bradley. Willis spent the last seven seasons leading the program at Bowling Green State. During her run with the Falcons she compiled a record of 162-177. The 2022 BGSU squad went 34-21 and 16-11 in MAC play.
Wood Named Head Coach At Creighton
Creighton has named Krista Wood their new head coach. Wood has guided the program at South Dakota State the last eight seasons. She compiled a record of 238-164 winning back-to-back Summit League regular season and tournament titles in 2021 and 2022. The Jackrabbits also appeared in the NCAA Postseason last two seasons.
New Mexico Names Dickson Head Coach
New Mexico has named Nicole Dickson their new head coach. Dickson comes to Albuquerque after spending the last six seasons leading the program at Stephen F. Austin. She compiled a record of 169-123 and was named the 2021 Southland Conference Coach of the Year.
RTS has learned that SFA will seriously look toward former Lumberjacks assistant coach and current Texas A&M assistant Craig Snider to fill their open position.
Newell Named New Troy Coach
Troy has named Eric Newell their new head coach. Newell joins the Trojans after leading the program at Auburn-Montgomery. He directed AUM to a No. 3 National Ranking in 2022 and into the final six at the Division II World Series. He went 302-88 in eight seasons leading the Warhawks.
Gold Glove Awards Announced

OCU Wins 11th National Title
Oklahoma City University has won the 2022 NAIA National Championship. The Stars shutout Mobile 3-0 at the NAIA World Series in Columbus, GA. The National Title is the 11th for the OCU program.

Bahl Names National Freshman Of The Year
Jordy Bahl has been named the 2022 NFCA/Schutt Sports Division I National Freshman of the Year. In her freshman campaign for Oklahoma Bahl has pitched 132.1 innings, holding a 0.95 ERA with 199 strikeouts to just 29 walks. She has allowed just 18 earned runs on the season, and opponents are batting just .137 against her.
