Western Kentucky Head Coach Amy Tudor picked up her 500th career coaching victory today. The Hilltoppers defeated Evansville 9-0 to achieve the milestone for their leader. Tudor is in her 10th season leading WKU. She also led programs at IPFW, Belmont and Ohio Wesleyan.
Both Waltons On The Diamond In Birmingham
Florida Head Coach Tim Walton might be donning Blazer colors at the conclusion of the Gators weekend series in Birmingham. Son Brooks Walton is a senior pitcher for the UAB Baseball squad and will get the the start Sunday at home for their game against Notre Dame.
NC State Makes Coaching Change
North Carolina State has parted ways with head coach Jennifer Patrick-Swift after a 5-10 start to the season. Patrick-Swift was in her fifth season leading the Wolfpack. She exits with a 114-91 overall record. She joined NC State after seven successful seasons as head coach at St. Francis (PA). Assistant coach and husband Patrick Swift was also let go.

The NJCAA has released their week one Division I Rankings. Grayson College (15-3) out of Texas sits in the top spot followed by Northwest Florida State College (22-2) and defending National Champion Florida Southwestern State (12-3).

While it was only a week removed, Oklahoma (13-1) is back on top of this weeks D1 Softball Top 25 Poll. After the Sooners romped previous No. 1 UCLA (17-1) 14-0 on their home turf in California on Sunday, OU returns to the spot they held for nearly two years previously.

Bulldog Great Sandberg Returns To Athens
Note of interest this weekend at the 20th Annual Georgia Classic. Bulldog great Kristyn Sandberg returns to Jack Turner Stadium as an assistant coach with Hofstra. Sandberg helped lead Georgia to WCWS appearances in 2009 and 2010.
