Western Michigan Hire Alum Wilson

Western Michigan is going back to the alumni pool once again for their new leader. Former Bronco Marlee Wilson has been named head coach. The promotion comes after serving as an assistant coach in 2023. She has also worked on staffs at Dayton and Tennessee-Martin.

Longtime Bama Coach Habetz Retires

In a surprisingly late move as teams throughout the country start their fall workouts, Alabama Associate Head Coach Alyson Habetz has announced her retirement. Habetz spent 25 years with the Crimson Tide Program. During that time Bama won 11 SEC Titles, made 14 apperances at the Women’s College World Series, and won the 2012 National Championship.

Veteran Coach McDaniel Takes Over At Roane State

Georgia Tech Pitching Coach Marty McDaniel has been named the new head coach at Roane State Community College. He has led the pitching unit for the Yellow Jackets the past three seasons. McDaniel is best known for his successful run as pitching coach at Tennessee through 16 seasons. He returns to the Volunteer State with a Roane State squad that went 14-37 in the 2023.

Blas Resigns At La Verne

RTS has learned that Dennis Blas has resigned as head coach at University of La Verne due to health reasons. He spent four years coaching the Leopards going 61-43. Blas joined UL after a hugely successful run at Hope International University where he led the Royals to the NAIA Postseason multiple times and No. 1 National Ranking during his tenure.

French Returns To UGA As Coordinator of Player Development

RTS has learned that Nick French will join the staff at Georgia as Coordinator of Player Development. French spent the past five seasons as head coach at Bryant. He rejoins the UGA Staff after serving as an assistant coach with the Bulldogs on their 2016 Women’s College World Series Team. French has also had stops on staff at Arizona, Memphis, Holy Cross, Towson, Piedmont College, and Simmons College.

Krysiak Named New Head Coach At Saint Francis

Saint Francis (PA) has named Beth Krysiak their new head coach. Krysiak has spent the past four seasons on the coaching staff at Columbia. She has also had stops as an assistant coach at Carnegie Mellon, University of Dallas, Ottawa-Kansas, Buena Vista, and Prairie View A&M. Krysiak replaces Jessica O’Donnell who departed the program earlier this summer to take the head coaching position at Kent State.

Rohn Returns To Harvard

Jenny Rohn has been named the new head coach at Harvard. Rohn served the 2023 season as head coach at Western Michigan leading the squad to a 17-29 record. The departure from the Broncos is the second time she coached a squad for just one season, having been the head coach at Covenant College in 2021 going 18-18. This will be the third stint for Rohn with the Crimson, having served as an assistant coach from 2018-2020 and 2022.

Carosone Promoted At Auburn

Emily Carosone has been promoted to associate head coach at Auburn. The former three-time All-American for the Tigers has served the last five seasons on staff as an assistant for Head Coach Mickey Dean.

DePolo Named Head Coach At St. John’s

Michelle DePolo had been named the new head coach at St. John’s. DePolo amassed a record of 341-277-1 over 12 seasons as head coach at Army and Tennessee Tech. She spent the 2023 season as an assistant coach at Florida Gulf Coast.

Former Assistant Fuller Takes Reins At Winthrop

Kendall Fuller has been named the new head coach at Winthrop. Fuller had previously served on the Eagles staff as an assistant coach between 2013-2018. She spent the past three seasons as head coach at Lees-McRae College where she compiled a record of 65-68.
