Kristin Vesely is out as head coach at Houston. The institute announced Tuesday her contract would not be renewed. Vesely coached the Cougars for nine seasons amassing a 233-218-1 overall record with a 68-98-1 conference record (8-41 Big 12).
Buffalo’s Ruechel Retires
Buffalo Head Coach Mike Ruechel has announced his retirement. Ruechel led the Bulls for the last seven seasons. During that time, he compiled a record of 99-203.
Mundell’s Contract Not Renewed at UE
Evansville will not renew the contract of Matt Mundell as head coach. Mundell coached the Purple Aces the last 11 years. UE finished the 2025 season 20-34 overall and 5-22 in MVC play.
Jansson Out At Drexel
Katie Jansson will not return as head coach at Drexel. Jansson coached the Dragons for four seasons compiling a 56-131 overall record while going 25-70 in the CAA.

Sooners and Aggies Split SEC Tournament Championship
With the cancellation of the SEC Tournament Championship Final, the Oklahoma Sooners and Texas A&M Aggies are declared Co-Champions. With the Sooners being the highest remaining seed, they will receive the conference automatic bid to the NCAA Postseason.
SEC Announces Awards
The best of the best have been recognized as the Southeastern Conference announced its annual awards today.
The All-SEC Teams consist of 21 student-athletes on the First Team, 22 student-athletes on the Second Team, and a 10-member All-Defensive Team. No ties were broken.

McKay Contract Not Renewed At KSU
Tripp MacKay is out as head coach at Kennesaw State. The institute announced his contract would not be renewed. MacKay led the Owls for seven seasons compiling a 145-198 record. KSU appeared in the NCAA Postseason in 2021 at the Tallahassee Regional under his direction.
USA Softball Announces Coaching Pool
USA Softball has announced the Women’s National Team Coaching Pool through 2028.
The program is led by Oklahoma Head Coach Patty Gasso.
