Belinda Hendrix the often criticized and controversial three-time National Championship Coach is on the move again. Sources have confirmed to RTS that The Family Hendrix are on their way to Kansas to run the program at Garden City Community College.
Belinda Hendrix served part of the 2024 season as head coach at first-year program Southeast Arkansas College before their season was suspended in February by what the institute termed “unforeseen circumstances, including injuries and roster challenges” after a 4-13 start. Both husband Jimmy and daughter Madyson also worked on the staff there.
Hendrix is best known for her 17 seasons at Chipola College where she built a JUCO powerhouse that led to the aforementioned National Titles. She would depart Chipola in the summer of 2021 for Division I East Tennessee State. She would coach one season there going 8-48 before being terminated in the fall of 2022 after players leveled accusations of mental abuse.
RTS has been informed some sort of legal action is ongoing against ETSU on behalf of Belinda and Jimmy Hendrix, which were both employed there as head and assistant coach. The source has explained the suit would shed more light on the complete story and timeline of events. RTS has reached out to East Tennessee State for further comment on any current litigation involving the institute on the matter.
