Brittanie Talley has resigned as head coach at Midwestern State. Talley spent the past four seasons leading the Mustangs. During that time she compiled a 55-145 record while going 41-87 in Lone Star Conference play.

Greg Wallace has been named the new head coach at Coahoma Community College. The Mississippi State grad has spent the past five years as a Coach with the Fastpitch Performance Academy. Wallace has over 22 years of experience in athletics and education. He takes over a program that was winless in the 2025 season.

Iowa has announced that Renee Gillispie will not return as head coach. Gillespie coached the Hawkeyes for six seasons from 2019-2024. She did not coach this season due to a personal health matter. Gillispie finished her stint in Iowa City with a 136-141 record.

RTS is saddened to report the passing of Aly Bermudez Head Coach at New College of Florida. Coach Bermudez had been battling cancer for the past year, she was just 32 years old. She had started the program at New College of Florida an NAIA institute and was in her second season leading the Mighty Banyans. The Londonderry, New Hampshire native competed herself at Lasell University. Bermudez moved to Florida in 2022 where she was the coach at Bishop Verot High Schoo before recruiting the first team at NCF.

Julie Farlow is out as head coach at Cornell. The Hall of Fame Alum has led the Big Red for the past 10 seasons. She compiled a 107-219-1 record going 51-109 in Ivy League play. Assistant coach Tara Tembey has been appointed interim head coach through the 2026 season.

USA Softball has announced the roster for the 2025 World Games. The U.S. Women’s National Team will be made up of 15 players that will compete in the games August 13-17 in Chengdu, China. Oklahoma Head Coach Patty Gasso will lead the squad.

St. Andrews University in North Carolina will close their doors on May 5. The small private institute in Laurinburg cited financial difficulties in deciding to cease operation. Athletes from 17 sports will be looking for new homes. The Knights compete at the NAIA level and are members of the Appalachian Athletic Conference. The softball program is 3-39 on the 2025 season.

Joe DiPietro will not be retained as head coach at Central Washington University the institute has announced. DiPietro was hired in 2021 and led the Wildcats to a 64-116 overall record while going 35-61 in GNAC play.
